I am a Senior Lecturer at the University of Huddersfield. I joined the University of Huddersfield in October, 2009.
Before that, I completed my doctorate at the University of Oxford (Christ Church) (2009), an MSc Criminology and Criminal Justice at Queen’s University, Belfast (1999), and a BSc (Hons) Social Psychology and Sociology at the University of Ulster (1998).
From 2000 to 2006, I was a Research Officer in the Centre for Criminology, University of Oxford, and between 2006 and 2008, whilst also completing my doctorate, I conducted several research studies as an independent consultant researcher.
I research young people’s social, cultural and political participation, with a focus on their feminist and human rights activism and social movements.
